Writing a letter
01 How It Works
Echo Me Letter is a time-capsule letter service. You write a letter today — to yourself, a loved one, or someone special — and we hold it safely until your chosen delivery date. Whether that's 6 months or 10 years from now, we make sure it arrives exactly when you meant it to.
Click Write a Letter from any page. You'll choose a letter format, write your message, pick a delivery date, and complete payment — all in one flow. The whole process takes around 5 minutes.
Anyone — your future self, a partner, a child, a friend, a parent. You can even write anonymously if you'd prefer to stay unknown. The letter is yours; we just keep it safe until the moment is right.
Once a letter is sealed and payment confirmed, it cannot be edited — that's part of what makes it meaningful. If you need to make a change within 24 hours of ordering, reach out to us at echomeletter@gmail.com and we'll do our best to help.
02 Letters & Formats
We offer three formats: Digital (delivered by email on your chosen date), Physical (printed on quality paper, sealed, and mailed), and Legacy Box (a fully bespoke, keepsake-quality package for life's most significant moments). Each has different pricing and timelines.
Both. You can write your own letter in our editor, or choose our "We Write For You" option where our team crafts a heartfelt letter based on a brief you provide. For the Legacy Box, we always write it for you as part of the custom experience.
For digital letters, you can include image attachments. For physical letters and Legacy Boxes, small enclosures (pressed flowers, photos, a handwritten note) can be discussed as part of the custom order — reach out via the Legacy Box form or email us to arrange.
03 Delivery & Timing
There's no maximum — we've had letters scheduled 10+ years in the future. The minimum is 3 days for physical letters after we receive it, and 24 hours for digital letters.
For physical letters, you can update the recipient address any time before the delivery date by emailing us with your order reference. We recommend checking in with us a month before delivery for long-scheduled letters.
Delivery date changes are accepted up to 14 days before the scheduled date. Cancellations within 7 days of delivery are not eligible for a refund, but we'll hold the letter and reschedule if you'd like. Contact us at echomeletter@gmail.com.
Digital letters are delivered globally with no restrictions. For physical letters, we ship to most countries worldwide. International Legacy Box delivery is available on request — get in touch and we'll work something out.
04 Payment & Pricing
Digital letters start at $5. Physical letters start at $10. Legacy Box pricing is custom and provided after we review your brief. All prices include storage for the full duration until delivery.
We offer a full refund if you cancel within 48 hours of purchase. After that, refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis. If your letter hasn't been processed yet, we'll always try to find a fair solution.
Yes. We never store your card details. All payment processing uses industry-standard encryption. We collect only what's necessary to fulfil and track your order.
05 Legacy Box
A Legacy Box is our most meaningful offering — a fully bespoke, keepsake-quality letter package designed for life's biggest moments. Think wedding vows to be opened on a future anniversary, a letter from a parent to a newborn, or words to a loved one facing a milestone. We write it, we craft it, and we hold it until the moment arrives.
After you submit your brief, we'll get back to you within 24 hours with a quote and next steps. The full creation process typically takes 5–10 business days, depending on complexity. Rush turnarounds are available.
Yes — for Legacy Box orders, you'll receive a draft for review and up to two rounds of revisions before the letter is sealed. We want it to feel exactly right.
06 Privacy & Security
Nobody reads your letter without your consent. For "We Write For You" orders, our writer sees the brief you provide, but the final letter is sealed and stored privately. We treat every letter with the same discretion we'd want for our own.
We store your letter from the moment of purchase until the scheduled delivery date, plus a 90-day grace period afterward. After delivery, letter data is archived securely for 12 months and then permanently deleted.
In the unlikely event that we cease operations, we would give all customers at least 90 days' notice and work to deliver all outstanding letters immediately, or provide full refunds for those we cannot fulfil. Your words matter — we take that seriously.
